Community Visitors Scheme Worker

We are looking for a passionate Community Visitors Scheme Worker to join our Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) team. This role is perfect for someone who loves to interact with people, build vital relationships and help the community. The Community Visitors Scheme Worker will recruit and support volunteer visitors who will help to improve the quality of life of aged care residents who are at risk of isolation in the community. In this role you will recruit, interview and select volunteer visitors and match them with residential aged care home residents for one-to-one visiting. In addition you will also build relationships with various care providers to communicate the philosophies and aims of the Community Visitors Scheme.

This role will be based at our Blair Athol office, however it will provide services to the Adelaide Metro area so the ability to travel is a must!

The duties of this role include;

• Recruit, interview and select volunteer visitors.
• Provide initial and ongoing training for volunteer visitors.
• Meet with individuals in aged care homes to assess their needs for visiting.
• Manage internal and external strategic projects to meet objective and timeframes, including legislative and contractual requirements.
• Promote, facilitate and model positive collaboration between agencies and sectors.
• Keep appropriate records and ensure the collection and interpretation of regular reports and statistical information from volunteers.
• Located at Blair Athol with significant travel required.
