Program Support Officer

Lutheran Care provides community services in South Australia and Northern Territory through a range of programs. We support communities through responding to the needs of individuals and families, community development, learning opportunities, accommodation and disability support. Current programs include community connections, community hubs, community visitors scheme, emergency relief, financial counselling, family support and education, foster care, homelessness and housing and NDIS disability services.

We are seeking an outstanding Program Support Officer to provide professional and timely administration and service delivery support to the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) program.

You will be a passionate and experienced administrative extraordinaire committed to improving the quality of life of older people who are at risk of isolation in the community.  Your strong interpersonal skills will see you connect with our volunteer community providing a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide timely, confidential, discreet and efficient responses to volunteer Expressions of Interest and recipient referrals whilst liaising closely with the ACVVS team and the LC Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Support program team with volunteer recruitment, training and on-boarding tasks.
  • Support program team to further develop visiting service delivery and processes.
  • Maintenance and analysis of volunteer information management via Better Impact system and of recipient waitlist.
  • Communicate effectively to engage and establish rapport with volunteers, internal and external stakeholders and program team members.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a NDIS Workers Screening Check, a DHS Working With Children Check, as well as a current Safe Environments for Children & Young People certificate. You must hold a current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License and possess a registered roadworthy vehicle available for work use (employees reimbursed for work travel). In addition, the successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or a medical exemption.
