CEO Statement: Unlawful invasion of Ukraine

A statement from Rohan Feegrade,

Lutheran Care Chief Executive OfficerA graphic featuring the Ukraine flag colours and Lutheran Care logo. The text reads: "Lutheran Care stands with our leaders and the SA community in the condemnation of the unlawful invasion of Ukraine by Russia

Lutheran Care stands with our leaders and the South Australian community in the condemnation of the unlawful invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces.

We applaud the continuing efforts of the international community towards de-escalation, and ultimately ending this unlawful conflict.

We also welcome and give thanks to the nations who have provided and offered safe refuge for the many seeking safe passage.

Lutheran Care calls on the Australian Government to join and support the international efforts to accommodate refugees leaving Ukraine.

This includes the implementation of pathways to permanent protection visas for Ukrainian asylum seekers and also to those refugees currently in Australia.

We acknowledge the pain, suffering and anxiety that many within our Australian Ukraine and Russian communities are experiencing.

Lutheran Care will continue to stand alongside these communities and offer our prayers, support and assistance.

Any person requiring support through Lutheran Care’s suite of services as listed on our website is encouraged to contact us on 08 8269 9333.
