Our three ’boutique-style’ Elcies stores stock handpicked, higher-end goods. 100 per cent of proceeds from our sales flow to vulnerable people by funding Lutheran Care programs such as Emergency Relief. Our three Lutheran Care Op Shops are more traditional opportunity shops, offering affordable, good quality items for families on lower incomes, Emergency Relief clients in receipt of op shop vouchers, and bargain hunters alike.
By supporting our op shops by shopping with us, donating your preloved goods, or both, you become a key partner in our mission to build strong, caring communities. Thank you!
If you are interested in volunteering in an op shop or have a specific skill set you can offer, please contact us and we can discuss opportunities.

Looking for a corporate volunteering opportunity?
We have those too! Let us know how many people are in your team and the amount of time you’re able to give and we can discuss opportunities that will build your teamwork and serve the community at the same time!
Please note, Lutheran Care has temporarily paused donations to its op shops and Donation Distribution Centre following an overwhelming influx of post-Christmas items, including large volumes of soiled clothing and bedding, broken goods, and items dumped outside stores.
This pause will allow our teams time to safely and effectively work through the backlog, so our op shops can continue operating efficiently and supporting the community. Donations will resume once this backlog has been managed.
We want to sincerely thank — and apologise to — our regular donors, who have so generously supported us over many years by donating good-quality pre-loved goods. We acknowledge the inconvenience this pause may cause and hope to reopen donations as soon as practicable.
Elcies Thrift Stores (Norwood, Semaphore, Tanunda) will continue to gratefully accept high end / premium quality clothing and other goods instore only.
Will you declutter for a good cause?

We gratefully accept the donation of quality preloved goods from our supporters. Each year our volunteers sort, pack and move thousands of bags of clothing and bric-a-brac items to stock up our six op shops across Adelaide and the Barossa.
Unfortunately we are not able to accept some items because of compliance or safety reasons, lack of storage space or lack of floor space in our stores. Thank you for your understanding.
We appreciate donors ensuring all items are in a good, clean, usable condition.
Let’s be friends! Follow us on social media and be the first to see new arrivals and sales.
