About Us

Lutheran Care is thrilled to announce the Barossa Community Centre will open soon in Nuriootpa.

The first community centre for the Barossa has been developed by Lutheran Care in response to community feedback.

Based on this input from local residents, the centre aims to offer more community support in mental health and wellbeing, as well as more opportunities for connection and activities for people of all ages living in the area.

Parenting Courses

We know parenting is sometimes challenging. That is why we offer a range of parenting courses run by qualified facilitators to help support mums, dads and guardians through various stages in their children’s lives.

Family Zone Home Visiting provides support and encouragement for parents and carers who are having difficulties caring for their children or are feeling lonely and isolated.

Our Location

The Barossa Community Centre has found its home at the ‘White House’ at Second Street Nuriootpa, just across the road from Lutheran Care’s current Children’s Contact Service location at Gersch House, and the former Lutheran Care site at Schild House.

Family Zone

You are welcome at Family Zone

We welcome all children and their families. Mums, dads, grandparents and other adult family members are encouraged to be involved.

When visiting at Family Zone, we will ask you to complete a registration form. When attending a program you may be asked to complete additional forms specific to the program.

Our staff are there to help you complete the forms if you need. You can also choose to take the form home and bring it back the next week. All information you provide is confidential. We have strict procedures in place to ensure your privacy.
