Lutheran Care receives almost $40,000 over Double Donation Days

Lutheran Care is thrilled to announce that through the generous support of our donors and partners we received close to $40,000 during Beyond Bank’s Double Donation campaign last week.

With a total of $38,976 raised, these much-needed funds will help our staff and volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of many families and individuals experiencing hardship this winter.

During this fundraising event, Beyond Bank kindly doubled donations given to Lutheran Care over 23 and 24 May, up to the value of $10,000. This means the generous gifts from our supporters has double the impact to the lives of people we assist through programs such as Emergency Relief, Homelessness Services, Counselling and Financial Wellbeing programs.

Lutheran Care was one of only three South Australian charities (16 nationwide) selected to participate in this campaign and we thank Beyond Bank for its ongoing support. Lutheran Care has a strong relationship with Beyond Bank. It is the provider of our Salary Sacrifice program for staff in conjunction with CBB and kindly supported us previously through a Double Donation Day in 2020.

With more people than ever in our communities struggling right now, these funds could not come at a better time. As the cost of living and housing crisis continues, the number of Australian households doing it tough has soared. It is the most vulnerable people in our communities who have been hardest hit and Lutheran Care is working with them to build a better future.

Like the cold wintery nights, our Winter Appeal has a few months to go in our campaign to support even more people in crisis this year. To find out more about our Winter Appeal and how the current financial climate is affecting our clients, please visit www.lutherancare.org.au/winter-appeal

Lutheran Care would like to thank those who donated during the Double Donation campaign and for partnering with us to support more people this winter and beyond.
