Elcies pop-up store and fashion shows a success in the Barossa

Elcies Thrift Stores was pleased to attend the St Petri Lutheran Church Ladies High Tea in the Barossa earlier this month, hosting a pop-up shop and two fashion shows on the day.

About $1000 was raised for Lutheran Care through the proceeds of clothing sales at the pop-up store, while the two fashion shows provided some entertainment for attendees at the event.

Four fabulous Elcies Tanunda volunteers offered to model garments during the fashion shows – Pam, Theresa, Jill and Cheryl – showcasing 33 gorgeous pieces in just half an hour.

Elcies Tanunda Shop Manager Halia Maynard was also invited to speak on the day and focused on how Lutheran Care has helped local people in the Barossa this year.

“It was wonderful to chat to the ladies about how Elcies raises funds for Lutheran Care’s services, but to also emphasise that Tanunda is now a hybrid store, as clothing and care packages are also given away to families who need support,” Halia said.

“We received very positive feedback from many of those attending.

“This event was not only a huge success for Elcies, but the group also had great success in raising funds for their church kitchen renovation which was the main purpose of the day.”

With about 130 people attending, the high tea was a great opportunity for Lutheran Care to build on our connection with local church networks in the Barossa.
