It’s Mad March! Time to get out and do some socialising and enjoying the arts in abundance! Wondering what sort of colours and styles we’ll be seeing this Adelaide Fringe and Festival season? Lutheran Care’s head of Op Shops, Babs Deane, shares some of her top tips!
Ok, so you’ve done your dough on tickets to the Fringe and Festival. No matter! We have some fabulous gear at Elcies thrift stores and Lutheran Care Op Shops and you’re in luck because there are special deals for everyone.
Grab out those jeans and team with a glam top and some awesome jewellery.
Don’t forget to take that short jacket – it may be a million degrees as you head out but there’s been a real nip in the air later in the night.
Note to self: no high heels or they’ll be stuck in the grass as you sink out of sight. Flats or wedges are the go then your face will match your feet and look happy.
Guys I’m sure you can do better than thongs jeans and a T-shirt! There are some fantastic floral or patterned shirts – pop one of those on with a straight leg jean and an RM-look boot finishes the look and hey – your date will know you made an effort.
It’s anything goes at the Fringe: you can really wear what you like!
Now, the Festival. You can check out better gladrags to wear for the night out.
To a nice little simple dress, add that bling and a heel with a small clutch or swap the dress for trousers or skirt.
Add some glitz with a nice top sporting a few sequins. No need to empty the bank account – Elcies thrift stores and Lutheran Care Op Shops have all you need, and not only will you save money but you will be assisting South Aussies in need, too.
Furthermore, you will be wearing the hottest trend, thrift store purchases saving landfill and our planet.
