Lutheran Care is proud to be the Gold Sponsor of the 2026 South Australian Child Protection & Family Support Awards.
The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of children and young people, carers, volunteers, staff and organisations from across the child protection and family support sector.
Nominations opened in mid May, and will close on Friday, 31 July.
The awards categories are:
- Active Efforts Award
- Minister for Child Protection Lifetime Achievement Award
- Positive Impact Award
- Regional Impact Award
- South Australian Foster Carer of the Year
- South Australian Kinship Carer of the Year
- Thriving Sector Award
- Voice of Child Award
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Achiever Award.
Delivered by the Department for Child Protection, in partnership with the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, the event will be held at Adelaide Oval on Friday, 9 October.

Last year, Lutheran Care Foster Carers Tara and Scott Forbes-Godfrey were celebrated as finalists in the Active Efforts awards category.
And, in 2023, Lisa O’Malley, a Foster Carer and carer advocate, was named the joint winner of Foster Carer of the Year.
